Sage Botanics is a 100% vertically integrated company, from growing medicinal and aromatic plants, nature-to-collecting, processing and artisanal care production, bottling and delivery to the consumer, both in bulk and retail. In this direction, all of our products are traceable to the field they come from and have our quality guarantee.

The plant source of the products sold in our organization mostly comes from the rich flora of Datça and our fields in Datça or it is grown organically in the Aegean-Mediterranean regions by our contracted farmers. The products on sale are produced in a boutique and quality-oriented manner in our food production licensed facility, by hand-picking one by one from the plants grown at the harvest time of the same year, by selecting the most accurate and clean plants. All products are natural and pure.
AGRICULTURE & COLLECTION FROM NATURE
We try to include endemic species whenever possible, we prefer local plant species. We produce all our essential oils and extracts from plants grown in Turkey.
Our plants, which are grown organically with the awareness of the sustainability of the ecosystem, and the most accurate and clean plants, which are collected one by one from the untouched mountains of Datça with the same consciousness, are harvested at optimum times.
No chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides are used in our medicinal aromatic plants grown with the philosophy of regenerative agriculture and permaculture.
The bees are happy and the plants are allowed to grow in their own complex ecosystems where natural stressors such as weeds are present. The emphasis is on content quality rather than efficiency. We always leave flowers on the plants we harvest in order to keep the bees in order.
We carry out the tillage and harvesting activities in our farms together with the local female workforce.

PRODUCTION & R&D
We process the plants we collect in our boutique distillation facility with food production license, which we established in Datça, under the highest sterile conditions and with artisanal care.
The products are produced as 100% natural and pure, without mixing different types or synthetic chemicals.
We attach importance to product quality rather than quantity. Products are fresh within two hours after harvest, and only the most accurate parts of the herbal drugs are distilled.
In addition to our science and R&D oriented production principles, we attach importance to transparency and product safety. In our laboratories and analysis centers of independent universities, our essential oils and plant extracts are tested both in terms of chemical content and microbiologically.
We try not to give any output during the production phase. The plants that come out of the distillation boilers meet with the soil in our farms again as compost or mulch. We pay attention to the minimum use of water and electricity during the production stages.
We want each batch (serial) production and bottle coming out of our facility to be traceable to the field where the plants come from.

PRODUCT & PACKAGING
Consumer health and hygiene is our top priority. We show the highest sensitivity for the safety of essential oils. All kinds of containers and filling apparatus are sterilized, the contact of the products with air and light is minimized, they are stored below 25 degrees, and the use of UV filtered glass bottles is preferred.
We make sure that every essential oil, plant and plant extract sold complies with European Pharmacopoeia standards.
Lids are specially selected in order to prevent the product from breathing and oxidation. Child-lock covers are preferred.
Care is taken to ensure that the correct content is followed on the product label.
We try to use recyclable materials and minimum plastic as much as possible during the packaging of the products.
